I’m not sure anymore

I think that I sometimes miss the certainty of the daily grind.

Oh, I don’t miss it that much, but being a cog in a bigger machine does take a lot of pressure off you when searching for meaning and direction in your life.

Granted, for the most part, working for a living doesn’t really apply to the “meaning and direction” aspect of your life, but it does keep you occupied and not stewing around trying to figure out the unfigurable.

Greedy little shit

OK...here's the deal from my point of view:

Food is food, you die when you die.  Fate is a real thing.

My guess is that this study, like most of the shit coming out of the "nutrition sciences" comes from not really doing any science, but digging back through poorly designed studies and coming up with something that fits the bill for getting a fashionable publication on their C.V. and another step clawed up the stepladder to a better job.

The folks in the study that partook of "time-restricted fasting" were probably overweight like lots of folks here in the land o' the free.  They were dieting because they were overweight.  Overweight people have a higher cardiovascular risk.

It has nothing to do with your current diet, it has everything to do with your historic overeating.  It is called a pre-existing condition.

I am fat.  I have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease.  I am dieting to reduce that risk.  That is just the way it is. I am dieting and not eating breakfast or lunch as a way to restrict calories is a way to lower that risk.  Thus the sad little graduate student publishes a paper (currently non-peer reviewed) that points out that fat people who are dieting are less healthy.  Moron.

Eat Less, exercise more, and stop making excuses and for god's sake, stop wanting a risk free life.
